SongAm (송암) Space Camp "Bringing Space Home"

I recently attended the SongAm Space Camp and must say that it was the most insightful experience I've ever had at a camp. What stood out the most was the fact that we had the privilege of being taught by luminaries from NASA. The teachers provided us with an in-depth understanding of various topics such as rovers, rockets, EDL (Entry, Descent, and Landing), payload, and helicopters. We were also involved in a plethora of experiments and creations, such as designing our own drones, taking part in an egg drop (water-balloon) competition, launching rockets, and controlling robots to collect samples from another planet.

All of these activities were both memorable and educational, providing us with an opportunity to learn while having a great time. The magic show, which was hosted by one of the teachers, was another highlight of the camp. Moreover, we participated in a competition where we had to answer questions displayed on screen, adding to the overall excitement of the camp.

After days of hard work, we finally gathered all of our knowledge for our last project. Our goal was to launch a rocket from Earth to Mars, land, collect samples, launch from Mars to Earth, and successfully land back on our planet. Each team contributed to this project by creating informative posters that highlighted different aspects of the process. Through teamwork and dedication, we were able to pull off this incredible feat.
